***Rescheduled*** Magic Auction February 1st, 2018

Dear Compeer!

If the weather co-operates with us….

Thursday evening, February 1st, 2018 , we will be holding our annual auction at the brand new location of Fantasma Magic. Fantasma has moved to 213 West 35th Street (b/t 7th & 8th Aves.) about 2 blocks north of their former location. Our business meeting meeting will begin at 7:15 PM, and should conclude by about 7:45.

The doors will then be opened for the auction, which will be conducted by the incomparable Pat Colby. Pat has a thorough description of the auction rules available in the most recent Spellbinder, distributed last week. If you don’t have a copy, please let me know.

This year, in addition to the many tricks, books, videos, cards, and collectibles that are expected to be sold by Parent Assembly members, the Auction will feature specially donated items for which the entire proceeds will benefit the Assembly. For example Tannen’s Magic has donated a “Mysterious” selection for which their shop is well-known, Steve Cohen has contributed autographed decks of special cards that were given to audience members at the 5000th performance of his show Chamber Magic, Doug Edwards is providing vintage magic tricks complete with instructions, and David Kaye, George Schindler, and Herb’s Magic have all donated other merchandise and memorabilia.

Anyone is welcome to attend to bid on the magic tricks, books, videos, supplies, magazines, memorabilia and more that will be on sale, although only members of Parent Assembly will be offering merchandise for sale . Aside from the possibility of finding the perfect item for your act or collection there often is exciting bidding action to add to the evening’s fun.

See you on Thursday evening.

Yours in M-U-M,

Bob Braun

President
