SAMPA1 Monthly Meeting (Friday June 7th, 2019) featuring a Member Gala Show with an appearance and Comedic Comments on Magic by Harrison Greenbaun@ Ellington Room at Manhattan Plaza(400 West 43rd Street, 2nd floor New York, NY 10036)

This is it! The last monthly meeting for 2019 is at a new venue (thanks to new member Guy Crowl). We will be electing/re-electing some old and new members to the Board of Directors.  Come joins us with your family and friends for some food, drinks and a show put on by SAM Members.   If you want to do a trick or two let me know!

In addition to the Member Show, we will feature Comedic Comments on Magic by Harrison Greenbaum. Harrison is fun’s presentation funny and you as well as your non-magic guests will enjoy his creativity.

Harrison has quickly become one of the most in-demand comedians in New York, performing in more than 600 shows a year and thus leading both Time Out New York and the NY Daily News to call him “the hardest-working man in comedy.”  One of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch,” Harrison has also received many awards and honors for his comedy, including the Andy Kaufman Award (2010) for creativity and originality in comedy, the Shorty Award in collaboration with Comedy Central and the New York Comedy Festival for “Best Emerging Comic” (2011), and the Magners Comic Stand-Off (2011).

On television, Harrison was featured on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, TBS’s Conan, AXS.TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, and National Geographic Channel’s Brain Games, and has appeared on MTV, SPIKE TV, the Discovery Channel, and the Science Channel. Behind the scenes, Harrison was a producer for Primetime: Would You Fall for That? on ABC (which premiered in 2013 to over 3.5 million viewers) and a story producer for VH1’s This is HOT 97, as well as the warm-up comic for Katie, Katie Couric’s daytime talk show on ABC.

  • 6:00pm :       Jam session and networking.
  • 7:00pm:        PA 1 Members Only Meeting  (members, please be on time as we need 20 members in attendance to have a Quorum. Elections will be held, goal setting excercises (by Herb Scher) and year end report
  • 8:00pm:        Member Guests arrive for food, networking and some walk-around magic. Food and drinks will be available to all.
  • 8:30pm: Member Show
  • 9:30pm: Harrison Greenbaum
