Ben Lichtenstein, a magician who frequented the Saturday lunch group since the 1970s and many a Tannen’s Magic Jubilee, died of cancer on February 23. He was 77.
His widow, Carla, and their son, Mark, will be holding a memorial service, April 22, at noon. The address is 372 Central Park West, which is at 97th Street. It’s going to be in the community room, which is in the basement. Ben delighted in magic, especially mental magic, and got his son into the craft, something Mark does professionally.
